Holy crap. You think you’ve seen everything from the Republicans, and then there’s this. Which ran during the Superbowl. I can’t figure out what’s more offensive: the music, the bicycle, the rice field, the faux-asian dialect, or that Senate candidate Pete Hoekstra actually PUT HIS NAME ON THIS!! Doesn’t he know that these are the [...] Leave it to Budweiser Canada to create what may be the best commercial of the Superbowl, and it didn’t even air south of the border. Americans just don’t get hockey… there’s no cultural equivalent here. I wonder what Don Draper would have thought about the Superbowl: A multi-hour gladiatorial spectacle, surrounded on all sides the biggest and best ads of the year. Actually, I’m more intrigued with who Don would have been sleeping with, and if Betty would have been put-out by his selection of Heinken for the party. Anyway, [...] |
