I’m kinda in love with this video of Second Avenue subway construction. The oft-delayed, much-rumored line is slowly creeping along, but not without some very loud, very WWII-esque sound effects. [...] Looking for further examples of what one does during a hurricane? Well, it’s mostly dancing to my Kylie station on Pandora while your roommate is passed out on the sofa. [...] It’s 9 am. We still have power, cable and internet in Windsor Terrace. The worst of the storm has hopefully passed. There is a fair amount of debris on the road: branches, and stuff like that. Again, not that bad. The eye of the storm is almost directly over us right now, which means it’s [...] We’ve broken out the 60′s Password edition. Seriously, does anyone else not love Password? It’s the most brilliant couple game ever, especially during a hurricane. Even though there’s no couples here. We’re all kinds of board games and blender drinks central. I’m hoping we don’t lose power, cause that would suck. [...] The rain is coming down somewhat strongly. Lots of wind splattering the windows. Not much to report otherwise. More boardgames and beverages occurring. Watching ch 7. Sade looks good. Her hair is clearly rain-free. |
